Good product except for one design issue

We bought this for our granddaughter. In general, the product is well-made and, despite having 750+ pieces, it was relatively easy to put together since the instructions were clear. However, there is one design flaw. The bars that go over the slide/ladder and the climbing wall are so low that my granddaughter hit her head on them the first time she tried to get up to the platform. And she is not a big child (not quite 2 years old). The bar needs to be higher so that it is easier for kids to get to the platform without hitting their heads. We are going to try to somehow modify/rig the design so that she doesn't keep hitting her head on the bar(s) and can easily get to the platform without having to duck below the bars.

Very happy with overall experience

I bought this for our kids for Christmas (3rd wk of November) and was concerned it might not get here on time given the vague time frame for delivery. Brenda from customer service was so helpful throughout. From helping me with the initial purchase, to providing me with updates along the way, she was always extremely responsive and informative. Delivery was scheduled and came from the freight company a few weeks before Christmas (ahead of the expected timeframe given). I built the swing set with my Dad and while we thought we could do it in 6 hours or so (he's a retired tradesman and I have grown up in a similar environment), it still took us about 12-13 hours all in all. I was surprised by this since I consider both of us very handy, but we lost a lot of time just trying to dig the set into the ground to get it level. This was by far the greatest challenge so if possible I'd recommend leveling the ground first. Even though it took a while it was fairly easy all the way through. I was very very very impressed with the organization of all of the parts and how easily identifiable they were as we went through the steps to build. In fact, I was initially drawn and was willing to pay more for Gorilla since I knew many of the holes were pre-drilled and the reviews for set up/installation were pretty solid. I cannot stress enough how happy I am that I made this decision and did not settle for less. It would not have been worth it to buy a cheaper set that might come without these things. My only two issues were that the telescope came a little damaged to the point where I could not affix/mount it on the bracket that it came with, and there was one (one out of hundreds that is) 6" bolt that came with damaged threads and we couldn't get a nut onto the end of it. I emailed Brenda at customer service and once again, she answered me within 30 mins and had the two parts shipped to me right away. So great. The kids haven't spent much time on the swing set just yet and I have only had it up for less than 5 days, so I can't speak to durability etc., but overall I am very pleased with my experiences with Gorilla so far and I would definitely recommend.

Fast shipping and Excellent product

I was worried about long shipping times (everything is having shipping issues lately), but this set was about 10 days from order to my driveway. I was amazed. It took my husband and I about three days (not working non-stop) and I sealed it after about two weeks. Husband was a little irritated by hardware packaging (being in different locations in the shipping/some bagged/some boxed, but all the necessary parts were there in the end. We love the set!

reat playset for a great price

Bought this a few months ago for my 3 yr old. Assembled it with my father in law, and it took us 3 hours. Simple, straight forward assembly and clear directions.
